Poco C71 is big, cheap, and runs Android 15 — what more do you need?
Xiaomi has once again done what it does best: released a smartphone with specs you wouldn’t expect for the price. The new budget model Poco C71 comes with a massive 6.88-inch display, a big battery, the latest Android — and it costs just $75 to $85.
According to Xiaomi, this is the largest screen in its price segment. It’s an IPS panel with HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 450 nits peak brightness — not bad at all for something this cheap.
What’s inside?
The processor is the modest Unisoc T7250, paired with either 4 or 6 GB of RAM (expandable virtually to 12 GB). It’s no powerhouse, but it’s enough for browsing, apps, messaging, and video watching.
The 5200 mAh battery should easily last all day — or even two, if you’re not glued to the screen. And yes, 15W fast charging is included.
Cameras and software
The rear camera is 32 MP, backed up by a secondary depth sensor. The front camera is 8 MP, which is decent for selfies and video calls.
Best of all? It runs on Android 15, and Xiaomi promises four years of security updates — pretty rare for ultra-budget phones.
Price and availability
Right now, Poco C71 is only available in India:

- 6/128 GB — $85
No word yet on international availability, but as usual, it may pop up on AliExpress or other global marketplaces soon.
Who is this phone for?
Let’s be honest — this isn’t a flagship. But it’s perfect as a backup phone, a gift for parents or teens, or for anyone who just wants a big screen, reliable battery, and modern Android without spending a fortune.
