Something odd happened just a day before Apple’s fall keynote, where the company is expected to unveil the Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4: every configuration of the Apple Watch SE 3 quietly disappeared from Apple’s online store on Monday afternoon. No matter which case, size, or connectivity option a shopper selects, the listing now reads “Currently Unavailable” for both shipping and pickup.
Apple Watch SE 3 Disappears From Sale Ahead of Apple’s Event
The disappearance isn’t limited to Apple’s own storefront, either. Third-party retailers like Amazon also show no delivery date for the Apple Watch SE 3. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3 remain fully purchasable, suggesting the issue is isolated to the SE line specifically.
Macworld’s Michael Simon points out that this kind of move is unusual for Apple. The company typically keeps older models on sale right up until a launch, letting anyone who orders one get automatically upgraded to the new version once it ships. A sudden halt in sales instead hints that Apple may be planning to discontinue the SE line entirely, or overhaul it significantly enough to require pulling it from shelves immediately.
Answers should arrive soon: Apple’s keynote kicks off at 10 a.m. PT, and it’s expected to clear up exactly what’s happening with the Apple Watch SE 3.
