The first renders of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold have appeared online — but the final design of the smartphone is not confirmed yet
The first renders of Google’s new foldable smartphone — Pixel 11 Pro Fold — have appeared online. The images show a familiar device design with small changes in the camera module and a slightly thinner body. However, it is important to understand that these are only renders created from leaked CAD models, so the final look of the smartphone may differ.
The first Pixel 11 Pro Fold renders
Images of the new Google smartphone appeared thanks to a leak of engineering CAD models that are used to create renders of upcoming devices. Such materials are often used by manufacturers of cases and accessories even before the official smartphone announcement.
These renders usually represent the shape of the body, the placement of buttons and cameras quite accurately. However, they do not guarantee that the final version of the device will look exactly the same. Manufacturers often change certain design elements before the official presentation.
Therefore, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold renders should be viewed as a preliminary look at the possible design of the smartphone rather than the final appearance of Google’s upcoming device.
The design has barely changed
Judging by the published renders, Google is not planning a radical redesign of its foldable smartphone. The overall body shape, display proportions and placement of elements remain very similar to the previous Pixel Fold model.
The outer display, the frame and even the hinge shape look almost identical to the previous generation. This approach seems logical since the company has already established its own style for foldable smartphones.
Many manufacturers update foldable devices gradually. Companies rarely introduce drastic redesigns and instead slowly improve the body construction and reduce the thickness of the device over time.
Updated camera module
The most noticeable change visible in the renders concerns the camera module. The unit looks slightly redesigned and features a different arrangement of elements.
The LED flash and auxiliary sensors are placed a little differently compared to the previous model. As a result, the back panel looks cleaner and more balanced.
However, there is still no confirmation that this exact camera configuration will appear in the final smartphone. These are only renders based on leaks, so the final camera system may be different.
The body may become slightly thinner
Insiders also claim that the new Pixel Fold may receive a slightly thinner body. According to preliminary information, the thickness of the smartphone in the folded state could be smaller than in the previous generation.
However, the difference will likely be minor. Foldable smartphones have a complex design with a hinge, a flexible display and two batteries, so significantly reducing the thickness of the device remains difficult.
This is why manufacturers usually improve the construction gradually, reducing the device thickness by a few millimeters with each new generation.
What the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will actually be like
For now, it is too early to talk about the exact specifications of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Google has not officially announced the new smartphone and has not confirmed any details about its design or technical capabilities.
Leaks mention a possible new Tensor processor that could bring improved artificial intelligence features and better photo processing. However, even these specifications are not officially confirmed yet.
Therefore, all renders and technical details should be considered preliminary leak information. The final look of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will only become known after Google officially presents the smartphone.
