The major changes are in the Ultra, and only minor ones (mostly AI-related) in the other models.
There are pros and cons. The main focus is AI working alongside you on the phone, essentially replacing an assistant. If this is the kind of AI Apple is planning, then someone should immediately explain how to turn it off.
The first question is about artificial intelligence that can read notifications and suggest actions. For example, ordering a pizza. And this immediately raises a privacy question: if the smartphone analyzes what’s happening on your screen, where does that data go and how exactly does it work?
Second — the smartphone starts partially deciding for you. It suggests actions, brings them to the screen, structures your workflow. For some, that’s convenient. For others — too much.
Pros worth mentioning
One major advantage is the anti-spy mode, now built directly into the system. The key feature is not just dimming the screen but fully hiding it or blocking specific apps, even configuring visibility zones. That actually looks interesting.
The camera has improved, especially at night. Samsung highlights night photography, stabilization, and detail. But visually, the smartphone hasn’t changed much.
Another point is the vapor chamber cooling system. Apple introduced it in the iPhone Pro Max line, and now Samsung has added it to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The body material has also changed: from titanium to aluminum. The company explains this as a move toward sustainability and better heat dissipation. Apple made a similar shift last year.
They promise the phone will handle heavy games without overheating. We’ll see how that performs in real-world use.
On the downside, there are still no built-in magnets for accessories. That’s strange considering the price range of 80,000–100,000 UAH. Although, realistically, few people use a phone at this price without a case and screen protection, so the issue is partly neutralized.
