What Realme introduced with the Pad 3 5G and why the 7:5 aspect ratio matters
The new Realme Pad 3 5G has been officially unveiled as an affordable yet technologically advanced tablet within the Realme lineup. The device combines a large and thoughtfully designed display, a capable hardware platform, long battery life, and modern connectivity options, making it appealing to a wide range of users — from students and professionals to those who use a tablet primarily for entertainment and content consumption.
The Realme Pad 3 5G features an 11.61-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2800 × 2000 pixels, meeting the 2.8K standard and delivering sharp, detailed visuals. A refresh rate of up to 120Hz ensures smooth interface scrolling and animations, while the 7:5 aspect ratio is optimized for reading documents, comics, and working with multiple windows at the same time. The panel’s brightness reaches approximately 550 nits, allowing comfortable use even in bright outdoor conditions.
Performance is powered by the 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max system-on-chip, which includes eight CPU cores, ARM Mali-G615 graphics, and support for 5G networks. This chipset delivers sufficient computing power for everyday tasks, multimedia consumption, light gaming, and multitasking. The tablet comes with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD cards up to 2TB — an important advantage for users who store large amounts of photos, videos, and files.
One of the key highlights of the Realme Pad 3 5G is its large 12,200mAh battery, which, according to the manufacturer, provides up to 16.7 hours of video playback on a single charge. The tablet supports 45W fast charging and can also function as a power bank for other devices, delivering up to 6.5W of output power. This battery capacity significantly reduces the need for daily charging, even under intensive use.
The tablet features a metal body, and with a thickness of 6.6mm and a weight of around 578g, it manages to remain both stylish and reasonably portable. A fingerprint scanner is located on the side for quick and secure unlocking, while four built-in speakers provide immersive sound for media consumption.
The Realme Pad 3 5G is equipped with two 8MP cameras — one on the front and one on the rear — both capable of recording Full HD video. This makes the tablet suitable for video calls, document scanning, and basic photography. Stylus support is also included, expanding the device’s capabilities for note-taking, drawing, and precise interaction.
In terms of wireless connectivity, the tablet supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and GPS, ensuring stable connections across different usage scenarios. It runs on Android 16 with the realme UI 7.0 interface, which offers a range of software features and optimizations aimed at improving overall usability.
The Realme Pad 3 5G has already been announced in India, where pricing starts at around $300 for the Wi-Fi version and approximately $335 for the 5G variant. A global rollout is expected at a later stage. The tablet is available in two color options — Champagne Gold and Space Grey — making it an attractive choice both in terms of design and value for money.
