Some websites describe the feature as a universal migration tool available at any time. That is not accurate. Here is how the process actually works and what users should expect.
When Android Transfer Is Available
The transfer option appears only during the first-time setup of a new or factory-reset iPhone. Users must select “Transfer Data from Android” before completing activation.
Once the iPhone is fully set up, the system does not allow restarting the migration process. To use it again, the device must be erased.
