Xiaomi unveils a hybrid monitor: Redmi G Pro 32U — for work and for gaming
Choosing a monitor usually means компромисс. You are told: either go for a large, sharp 4K display for work and movies, but accept slower performance in games. Or pick a fast gaming panel, but deal with a grainy image that feels outdated.
Xiaomi decided you shouldn’t have to choose and introduced the Redmi G Pro 32U. It’s like having two different machines in one setup.
How does it work?
The monitor comes with two main modes that you can switch between. This is not just marketing — it’s a real shift in how the display behaves.
- Maximum Quality mode (4K). Ideal for coding, design, or watching movies. The image is highly detailed, every element looks sharp, and on a 32-inch panel it feels premium.
- Turbo mode (320Hz). Designed for gaming (CS2, Valorant, CoD). The monitor lowers resolution but becomes extremely fast. Motion looks smoother, and you gain a real advantage by spotting enemies earlier.
Mini-LED: when black is truly black
To avoid flat-looking visuals, Xiaomi uses Mini-LED backlighting. This means over a thousand local dimming zones (1152 to be precise).
In real use, you can see details in deep shadows while bright objects don’t bleed into surrounding areas. With peak brightness reaching 1000 nits, this is real HDR, not just a label on the box.

- True black levels. Backlighting turns off completely in dark areas, giving deep blacks instead of washed-out gray. This adds depth similar to high-end OLED TVs.
- High brightness. Mini-LED panels are significantly brighter than standard displays. At 1000 nits, the image stays clear in daylight and effects in games and movies look more realistic.
- Strong contrast. The difference between light and dark areas is much more noticeable. The image feels more dynamic and less flat.
- No burn-in risk. Unlike OLED panels, Mini-LED doesn’t suffer from burn-in, even with static elements displayed for long periods.

Xiaomi is clearly targeting users who want one display for everything. This is a solution for people who don’t want multiple monitors on their desk.
